About the event
We will be hosting 2 workhops in a day. 2 CE credits have been approved by DSHS for each workshop.
1- Interpreter Ethics. Learn about the concepts of ethics. This workshop explores ethical challenges for interpreters in the L&I system, what a patient navigator is, and more. Worth 1 ethics credit, and 1 general credit. This workshop will be worth 2 general credits, if you have satisfied your yearly Ethics credit.
2- Interpreting for Labor and Industries. Learn about safe billing practices, electronic billing, how to become a provider with L&I, and more. This workshop is worth 2 general credits.
About the instructor:
Juan Medina Bloise is a certified DSHS Medical and Social services interpreter with more than 11 years of experience. He has received advanced training in Ethics, Cardiology, and L&I safe billing practices. He's been approved to hold CE workshops for over a year. He holds a Bachelor's degree in music and vocal performace, has experience as a paralegal, and as a labor organizer.
